While providing financial assistance through scholarships is one of our primary goals, we believe that preparing our youth for the future extends well beyond merely helping to pay for college. We are committed to investing in the next generation by offering meaningful opportunities for student volunteering, allowing them to serve their communities, develop leadership skills, and gain valuable real-world experience. This initiative is open to everyone, and we welcome all to come out and help us support others.

Through our events and fundraising efforts, high school and college students have the chance to engage in community service alongside community leaders, first responders, local businesses, and dedicated volunteers. Whether assisting with event setup, registration, auctions, raffles, hospitality, or various behind-the-scenes tasks, students gain hands-on experience while positively impacting their communities. 

We recognize that community service has become essential for college admissions, scholarship applications, internships, and future employment. In appreciation of their commitment and service, the Steven Smithhart Memorial Foundation proudly provides personalized letters of recommendation for college admissions, scholarships, internships, and employment opportunities. These letters highlight the student's dedication, work ethic, leadership development, and willingness to serve others.

In essence, we aim to support students and our community members in every way possible.
