Our foundation is organizing a sanctioned state championship cook-off to raise funds to purchase needed equipment for local first responders and provide scholarships to local high school seniors. We have chosen Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department as the group of first responders that we will donate to this year. We will also be giving out a scholarship to the salutatorians of Greenwood High School, Kermit High School, Monahans High School, and Wink High School. West Texas is a central area in the oilfield industry and the traffic in this area has risen considerably over the past few years. This rise has caused a considerable amount of traffic accidents and many deaths.
The founders of the organization suffered a loss in the family due to an automobile accident. Steven was a kind hearted soul who would give the shirt off his back to those in need. We created this foundation to give back to others in his memory and hopefully help save other lives with the donated equipment.
We are reaching out to your company in the hopes that you will be willing to sponsor our event, donate or participate. The event is scheduled for October 24-25, 2025 at Rooster’s Backyard, 6221 Farm to Market 307 in (Greenwood) Midland, TX.As a sponsor, we will display your sign during the event. There will be prizes awarded to the winners of the events; amounts will be based off the number of competitors. There will also be a raffle, auction items, and bands playing on October 24. We are also looking for companies to donate raffle and auction items.
Please feel free to email or call with any questions. There are four levels for sponsors: bronze $2,500, silver $3,000, gold $4,000, and Platinum $5,000 or more but we will accept any amount that you are willing to donate and appreciate any help. Any help is greatly appreciated! Our cut-off date to get sponsor logos on signs is September 1, 2025. We will accept sponsors up until the date of the event. We will also be accepting limited vendors for the event. Please contact me for more information on vendor types we are accepting, vendor spots, to enter a team, or to donate money or auction items.

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to our local first responders and local youth. Our mission is to make a positive impact on the world by providing much needed equipment to volunteer fire departments and helping to further the education of our youth! We host this annual cook off event to raise the funds to accomplish our mission. Through the support of our volunteers and donors, we are able to make a difference in the lives of countless individuals and families.

Event starts at 10 am on October 24, 2025 at Rooster's Backyard 6221 Farm to Market 307, Greenwood (Midland), Texas 79706
You can also volunteer to be a taste judge! (must be 16 and over years old).
There will be a concert on October 24, 2025 from 7 pm - midnight Truman Stack, Peanut & the six shooters with guest appearance by Chris DeAnda, and The Rick Carr Band. The awards for the cook off will take place approximately at 4:30- 5 pm on October 25, 2025 at Rooster's Backyard.
The raffle will take place during the awards ceremony. Scholarships will also be handed out at the awards ceremony.
